Bauer Vapor HyperLite 2's notable moments:

•Olly (Postanin) and Jacob (Ardown ) of “On The Bench” fame were using the HyperLite 2 at Bauer’s HypeFest event.

How does the graphic look?

Like its predecessor — the original HyperLite— the second version has a mostly silver design. It’s a sharp look that’s completed by a black finish from about the midway point of the shaft to the toe of the blade. There’s some neon green trim in the middle to help the design stand out. As is typical with Bauer sticks, the brand’s name is in its usual spot — on the hosel in white type. It also can be seen near the knob of the stick, but this time accompanied by Bauer’s new logo. “HyperLite 2” shows across the middle of the shaft, though it’s hardly the most noticeable part of the graphic (the same could be said about the original version, as “HyperLite” was slightly visible in a region of the stick that is mostly covered by a player’s hands). Overall, this mostly silver look for the HyperLite 2 stick is exciting — different from traditional black graphic sticks that Bauer produces, yet still inviting for some creative custom versions.

Why is the Bauer Vapor HyperLite 2 unique?

The Vapor HyperLite 2 was designed to give players the quickest release possible. Similar to previous Vapor sticks, the Hyperlite 2 has a low kick point. Weighing in at only 365 grams, it’s 25 grams lighter than its predecessor. A lighter stick creates a better transfer of energy for quicker plays, faster shots, and more goals off the blade. Furthermore, the XE taper has been passed down from the original HyperLite. Its thin construction and rounded edges help contribute to the stick’s ability to provide a quick release. The entire shaft is made with Advanced Carbon Layering (ACL) 2.0 technology. ACL 2.0 requires less carbon, but it still maintains strength throughout the entire shaft. This technology gives any player the confidence to put forth their best effort when trying to re-gain and maintain control of the puck.
