The Upcoming Supreme Fuse Revives A Hockey Stick Legend

For hockey players who grew up during the golden era of the Bauer Supreme stick line, the wait is finally over.
The Supreme family is officially returning.
In the coming days, Bauer is expected to release the all-new Supreme Fuse, marking the first stick in the Supreme lineup since the release of the Ultrasonic back in 2020. For many hockey players and equipment enthusiasts, this is much more than just another stick launch. It's the return of one of the most beloved stick families ever produced.
To the players who swore by the TotalOne, TotalOne NXG, MX3, 2S Pro, and other Supreme models over the years, there's finally something new to be excited about.
Nearly six years is a long time for a major stick line to remain dormant, especially one that carried the reputation and popularity of Supreme. Throughout that time, Bauer continued to focus heavily on its Vapor and Nexus families, leaving many players wondering if Supreme would ever make a comeback. Now, those questions have been answered.
If you were a teenage hockey player during the early 2010s, chances are you owned a Supreme stick at some point. If you didn't, you probably gave some a try from time to time. Models like the TotalOne and TotalOne NXG became iconic almost immediately, earning loyal followings thanks to their powerful shooting characteristics and distinctive feel.
Even younger players who entered the game later likely remember the popularity of sticks like the 2S Pro and Ultrasonic. Those models continued to carry the Supreme torch into the modern era before the line seemingly disappeared from Bauer's stick catalog.
Now, all generations of hockey players can celebrate the return of the Supreme name.
Of course, one of the biggest storylines surrounding the Supreme Fuse won't just be what happens at retail locations. It will be what happens in NHL locker rooms across the league.
Whenever Bauer launches a major stick line, attention immediately turns toward the company's professional ambassadors. Which players will be chosen to showcase the new model? Which players will actually use it? And perhaps most interestingly, which players will continue to stick with their current setups?
For years, Stamkos has famously continued using sticks wrapped in the graphics of the Supreme 2S Pro. Whether it's superstition, preference, familiarity, or a combination of all three, he's remained incredibly loyal to that look. Convincing him to suddenly switch to a Supreme Fuse graphic may not be as simple as it sounds.
The same can be said for some of Bauer's other high-profile stars.
Early indications suggest players like Aleksander Barkov and Cale Makar could be Supreme Fuse candidates. Both players have appeared prominently in recent Bauer advertisements and promotional material involving the Fuse. However, both have also become closely associated with Nexus stick graphics in recent seasons.
Will they embrace the Fuse aesthetic once actual games begin?
That's a question only time can answer.
Still, we like the chances of seeing a significant number of NHL players using sticks wrapped in the new Supreme Fuse graphics next season. Bauer remains one of the most popular brands in professional hockey, and many of its ambassadors are likely to be on board with helping relaunch one of the company's most recognizable product lines.
Beyond the graphics, there is also the possibility that some players will adopt the actual Supreme Fuse build itself. While it's often difficult to determine exactly what is underneath a professional player's stick graphics, history suggests there are always a handful of NHL players willing to experiment with new constructions and technologies.
Some will try it.
Some will like it.
A few may even make the switch permanently.
As always, it will take time, equipment close-ups, and plenty of observation to determine exactly who is using what once the season begins.
For now, however, the biggest story remains that the Bauer Supreme line of sticks has returned.
The Supreme Fuse represents the return of a stick family that helped define an entire generation of hockey equipment. Whether your favorite was the original TotalOne, the legendary TotalOne NXG, the popular 2S Pro, or the Ultrasonic, there's no denying the impact the Supreme line has had on the hockey world.
More information is expected throughout the summer and into next season, but for hockey gear enthusiasts, collectors, and longtime Supreme users, the return of the Supreme name alone is reason enough to be excited.
The legend is back.
